I had seen this buck at the beginning of the season then not again so I assumed he had moved on. Long & short is- I called him in to 13 yards, put a beautiful shot on him, recovered him at the end of a 60 yard blood trail. His dad, two boys and himself had been watching this deer on trail cams for 5 years. His two boys had found his sheds in years past as well. Nate had a bow hunting encounter with him earlier, when the buck destroyed his decoy. He finally put an end to the story on November 13th
Matt Murphy: I shot this buck on 11/14/15 around 5:00 pm. I am 26 years old and was hunting on private land near Kellogg MN. I took this buck with my Remington 1100 gun. It was probably a 20 yard shot. This is also my FIRST BUCK!!
Brad Brasel, 38, shot this one with his gun on November 13th in Ottertail County. 10 pointer, with a 21 inch inside spread, Green Score 164 5/8 grossMichael Conway, 33, shot this buck with his bow on October 18th in Ramsey CountyMike Curlee, age 28, shot his FIRST buck, this 8 point buck in Olmsted county, MN on 11/14/15 with a Remington 870 magnum. This buck has been spotted at different times of the year the past 3 years on trailer camera and in person. There was at least 2 other hunters wanting to harvest this deer. The buck came in around 6:45 am and was shot at 20 yards and stopped about 15 feet from his tree stand.
