7:12 – Jared Wiklund and Tom Carpenter from Pheasants Forever join the show to give us a pheasant season preview. Jared gives us an update on pheasant populations and habitat conditions in Minnesota, South Dakota, North Dakota, Iowa and Wisconsin. Bret and Tom also talk about the Worthington Wellhead land and how cool of a story that is, especially with the governor’s pheasant opener down there.

Tom also talks about what’s coming up in the new Pheasants Forever magazine and why everyone should get a membership to Pheasants Forever.

Joe Henry is back to give us an update on fishing at the Rainy River and Northwest Angle of Lake of the Woods. He and Bret discuss layout boat duck hunting at the Northwest Angle and what can make driving to the Northwest Angle fun, including the different Canadian chips, breads and candies you can get along the way. Then Dan and Joe break down some of the best and worst Canadian candy bars.

Erik Osberg also joins the show to tell us about a hot walleye bite he found. He tells us what lake he was on and what he did to catch walleyes. He shows us exactly what crankbaits he was using and what structure he was fishing. Erik also shows us his favorite jig to use for minnows right now.
