No Lottery for Minnesota Turkey Hunters

Minnesota has eliminated the lottery for spring turkey firearm hunters in 2020. Hunters can also hunt statewide with their license. You will be asked what unit you hunt most, but you’re not restricted to that unit while hunting. You have to pick a time period (A-F) and stick to that period while hunting, although if you don’t shoot a turkey you can go back out during the “F” or final time period. Licenses for all time periods can be purchased over the counter starting March 1st.

Some restrictions are still in place for hunters who wish to hunt Mille Lacs, Carlos Avery or Whitewater WMA’s.
