The Summer Tour Part 1 began with a drive to Alexandria where we stopped and checked out the Minnesota State High School Clay Target League Championship.  We spoke to Executive Director Jim Sable and one of the contestants, Kerri Mueller from Wayzata High School.  Kerri shot a 97 and will compete at the State Tournament at the Minneapolis gun club next weekend.  Listen to our interview with both of them coming up on next weekend’s radio show.

Then it was on to the area creeks to thin the carp population.  I know this picture is blurry but it cracks me up.

Overall, it was a good day. The fishing wasn’t the greatest today, but there were a lot of misses too.  The highlight of the day might have been the story over dinner that involved punching a black bear in the nose.  Watch for that story and more photos as the Summer Tour Part 1 continues!
