Buy a car, get a free shotgun??? Here are the details:

You may remember the headlines that a fundraiser in West Fargo caused when they did a gun raffle a few years ago?

This is sure to generate some buzz as well. A car dealer in Hawley, MN is giving away a free shotgun with the purchase of a truck.

Haha, it doesn’t get any better than that!

“There’s a lot of outdoorsmen in this store,” said Case Muscatell from Muscatell Burns Ford on Highway 10 about 20 minutes east of Moorhead. “A lot of our customers come in and talk more about being outside hunting and fishing, than they talk about trucks.”

With the purchase of any F-series truck, new or used, customers will get a free Remington 870 Express.

Will there be some backlash about this?

“There is going to be some negativity,” Muscatell continued. “You’ll get a voucher for an 870 express to the Outdoorsman in Fargo. You’ll get a background check and if everything checks out, you’ll get your gun, if not you’ll get a gift certificate for the value of the gun to buy other merchandise.”

The gun giveaway goes from March 1st to March 14th.
